At the beginning of 2002, the first strains of Syrah and Merlot began to grow. Imported expressly from the south-east of France, these strains proved, once again, that this type of soil and this climate are favourable to them, as are the meticulous treatments to which they are subjected by their grower.

One of the great secrets of the Vinya els Vilars is that it produces only 15,000 litres a year, a limited production that can be achieved by pampering the wine from the root until it reaches the hands of the final consumer.

Vinya els Vilars belongs to the D.O. Costers del Segre, 6 hectares of surface that are characterized by a type of calcareous soil, with a Mediterranean climate, with cold winters, hot summers and a low average rainfall.

It is a small family winery, with a production of 25,000 bottles, where there is no other secret than continuous effort, respect for the land and a great esteem for the product made.

We want to share experiences and sensations, in the vineyard, in the winery, and in our surroundings.
