This centenary cellar was the first to produce and label aging wines in Catalonia and is located on the historic estate of the most important agricultural colony of the late 19th century, where the first signs of winemaking activity date back to 1780, although there are earlier traces from the Roman period.
It was a pioneer in the importation of French vines and obtained numerous awards at International Exhibitions.
Currently, it receives awards and high ratings. It exports its wines to more than 40 countries: Sícoris, Gotim Blanc, Gotim Bru, Oda Blanc, Oda, and 1780.
The cellar visit covers the old and current facilities for receiving grapes and shipping products, the vinification room, the aging warehouses, the bottling room, and the tasting room. It offers wine tasting, educational visits for students, and introductory tasting courses.
The tourist offer has the allure of its landscape and its history, key in the construction of the Canal d’Urgell. You can observe a mill, a distillery, a cooperage, and a blacksmith’s shop. In a landscape of vineyards, woods, and lakes, the castle itself, the sanctuary of the Verge del Remei, and the estate’s restaurant coexist with nature.
The Castell del Remei Restaurant is located in an area where you can enjoy nature and where tranquility has great value, in a historic and reference setting, a meeting point between all the regions of the Lleida plain.
