Lleida is the capital of an extended region situated at the occidental tip of Catalonia, called the Segrià, witch which owns its name to the river that cross it: the Segre. Lleida is an authentic economic and demographic engine of the inner Catalonia.

The current Lleida is a modern city, well communicated, which has experimented a huge urbanistic and demographic growth in the last decades and can count, nowadays, with more than 142.000 inhabitants, moreover with the creation of cultural equipment, as the Museu de Lleida and the recuperation of the Castell templer de Gardeny, both liderated by the majesty of the Seu Vella.

The last facilities and equipments in Lleida, like the Lleida-Alguaire Airport or la Llotja, as well as the consolidated Línia d’Alta Velocitat, enhance Lleida’s activity and favours the mobility and the exterior projection.
